MOROCCO LAUNCH “YALLA” APP FOR AFCON 2025

Morocco has unveiled Yalla, a single app that brings Fan ID, eVisa, ticketing, and fan zone access into one place for the Africa Cup of Nations in 2025. The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) and the Morocco Local Organising Committee announced the platform and the ticketing roadmap on 12 September 2025, confirming that Yalla will be the official gateway for stadium entry and services.

Fans can pre-register and then secure seats directly in the app as inventory opens in tranches. If you want a seat for the biggest nights, set reminders for the first release.

The tournament runs from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026 across six cities and nine venues. Every ticket holder must register a Fan ID in Yalla for entry to stadiums and official fan zones.

Key Features of the Yalla App:

  1. Fan ID: A digital identity card required for stadium and fan zone access, ensuring seamless entry for ticket holders.
  2. eVisa Services: International fans can apply for a special AFCON 2025 e-Visa through the app, streamlining travel procedures.
  3. Ticketing: Fans can purchase tickets for each match through the app, with sales opening on 25 September 2025.
  4. Real-time Updates: The app provides exclusive tournament content, real-time notifications, and tailored information to keep fans engaged and entertained

Benefits of the App To Fans:

  1. Simplified travel logistics and the use of digital face ID for secure and efficient entry to the different stadiums and fan zones.
  2. Enhanced security through stricter identity checks, which provide a safer environment for all attendees, and also the digital identity verification reduces the risk of identity theft or fraud.
  3. Personalised experience with real-time updates and exclusive content, keeping fans engaged throughout the tournament.
  4. Easy access to accommodation options, transportation, and restaurant recommendations.
  5. Connect with fellow fans and share experiences through social features.

For travellers planning now, here are the smart moves. Complete Yalla registration early. Pair your Fan ID with your ticket as soon as you buy it. Review whether you need an eVisa or the temporary authorisation and apply within the app workflows. Keep an eye on push alerts on match days, as they will direct you to the correct entrances and recommend the best transportation options for each stadium.
