President Muhammadu Buhari administration approved the relaxation of Safety Measures and Travel Advisory upon recommendations by the Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19 (PSC).
The Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, on Saturday, April 2, 2022, revised the COVID-19 travel protocol for travellers arriving in Nigeria, scheduled to take effect from Monday, April 4, 2022.
This new policy will replace the previous policy of a mandatory negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test certificate with a QR code which must be conducted not more than 48 hours before departure.
The new travel guidelines were stated in the statement released on 9th December 2021 by Patrick Kumah Aboagye, The Director-General of Ghana Health Service.
