To restore pre-COVID normalcy throughout the travel experience in the UK, the government will scrap the remaining COVID-19 international travel restrictions for all passengers from 4 AM Friday 18 March 2022. Rt. Hon. Grant Snapps, a Member of Parliament & the Secretary of State for Transport, tweeted this announcement on Monday 14 March 2022.
This means that travellers entering the United Kingdom will no longer have to complete Passenger Locator forms or submit other test results or certificates.
In addition, Heathrow Airport will no longer mandate nose masks. However, travellers are advised to take caution by wearing a nose mask when they contact other people, especially while onboard.
The UK had earlier scrapped COVID-19 test for fully vaccinated travellers on 26th February 2022.
