In a bid to support the country’s efforts to recover in tourism and ensure normalcy while maintaining health safety, the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced a new COVID-19 policy which will take effect from the 26th February 2022.
Travellers who are fully vaccinated are not mandated to present a negative PCR test to travel to UAE. They will only need to show their vaccine certificates with a valued QR code. This will serve as proof that they have been fully vaccinated with a UAE approved vaccination. This new policy is for only those who are fully vaccinated. Unvaccinated travellers will need to show a valid PCR test taken within 48 hours.
This new policy will replace the previous policy of a mandatory negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test certificate with a QR code which must be conducted not more than 48 hours before departure.
