Recent news claiming the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has lifted the travel ban on Nigerians has sparked hope and excitement among many travelers and families separated for far too long. However, it is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that these reports are misleading and premature.

We’re not trying to snuff out the kindle of hope but both the Nigerian and UAE authorities have not made any formal announcements or changes to the existing travel restrictions. The Nigerian Consulate in Dubai and other reliable sources have confirmed that the ban remains in effect as of the latest updates.
This misinformation has understandably caused confusion and disappointment among those who were eagerly anticipating the easing of travel restrictions. Many had hoped to resume their travel plans, reconnect with loved ones, or pursue business opportunities that have been put on hold for over a year.
It’s crucial to emphasize the importance of verifying information from credible sources before making any travel arrangements or assumptions.
