Etihad Airways is planning to re-establish its flight connection to East Africa by launching daily flights from Abu Dhabi to Nairobi. This renewed route is scheduled to begin on May 1, 2024, facilitating travel between the UAE’s capital and the vibrant Kenyan city.
The route will provide a direct link between Abu Dhabi, the home base of Etihad Airways, and Nairobi, Kenya’s capital. This connection will offer travelers from Kenya enhanced access to destinations in the Middle East, the United States, Europe, India, and Southeast Asia through Etihad Airways’ extensive global network.
The service will operate daily and use a two-class Airbus A320, with both Business and Economy cabins. The outbound flight, EY767, is scheduled to depart from Abu Dhabi at 9:05 a.m. and arrive in Nairobi at 1:15 p.m. The return flight, EY768, will depart from Nairobi at 6:10 p.m. and arrive back in Abu Dhabi at 12:20 a.m.
The CEO of Etihad Airways, Antonoaldo Neves, expressed excitement about reviving this route, stating that the airline is delighted to resume flights to Nairobi.
