During your adventure, here’s what you can anticipate:
Day 1: Arrival to Amman Queen Alia International Airport. Transfer to the hotel in Amman, and overnight.
Day 2: Breakfast at the hotel. Amman City Tour which includes a visit to the Citadel that is standing on the highest hill in Amman. The complex is surrounded by 1700m-long walls, which were rebuilt many times during several ages. The Citadel’s most impressive series of historic buildings is the Umayyad Palace. After Amman you will visit Jarash. Conquered by General Pompey in 63 BC, it came under Roman rule and was one of the ten great Roman cities of the Decapolis League and was known as Gerasa, and the site is now generally acknowledged to be one of the best-preserved Roman provincial towns in the world. Further, you will go to the north of Jordan, the beauty of nature and the genius of the Arab medieval military architecture gave this part of the country two of the most significant ecological and historical attractions – these significant forests of the district of Ajloun with the castle towering over Ajloun village .
Then you will go to Tall Mar Elias, Mar Elias is a hill (Tall) in the Ajloun region of North Jordan. The site, northwest of Ajloun, has long been identified with Tishbe, mentioned in the Bible as the hometown or region of the Prophet Elijah (Elias or Eliya, in Arabic).The remains of one of the largest known Byzantine churches in Jordan can also be found at the site. Artifacts from this site including marble carvings and small metal religious objects are on display at the Ajloun Castle Museum After that return to Amman Hotel & Overnight.
Day 3: After breakfast, transfer to site of John the Baptist’s settlement at Bethany beyond the Jordan, where Jesus was baptized which is known from the Bible (John 1:28 and 10:40) and from the Byzantine and medieval texts. The site has now been identified on the east bank of the Jordan River, in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and is being systematically surveyed, excavated, restored and prepared to receive pilgrims and visitors. Then transfer to visit Madaba City –which is one of the most memorable places in the Holy Land; Madaba, known as the “City of Mosaics”, is home to the famous 6th century Mosaic Map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land; with two million pieces of vividly colored local stones. After, you will visit Mount Nebo. Stand on the platform in front of the church and admire the view as it is absolutely breathtaking. Then visit Mukawir is commonly known as the ‘Castle of the Gallows due to the fact that John the Baptist was beheaded here. You will drive to Petra Hotel & overnight.
Day 4: After breakfast, visit Petra – wonder of the ancient world. Petra is without doubt Jordan’s most valuable treasure and greatest tourist attraction. It is a vast, unique city, carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataea’s an industrious Arab people who settled here more than 2000 years ago. Travel through Al Siq which is the narrow and the main entrance to Petra in some points no more than 3 meters wide winds its way approximately one mile and ends at Petra’s most elaborate ruin, Al Khazneh (the Treasury). Then back to Petra Hotel & overnight.
Day 5: After breakfast, visit Petra Museum, Little Petra, then transfer to Dead Sea, enjoy in the historical and spiritual legacy. Dead Sea is over 400 meters (1,312 ft.) below sea level. The lowest point on the face of the earth, this vast, stretch of water receives a number of incoming rivers, including the River Jordan. The leading attraction at the Dead Sea is the warm, soothing, super salty water itself – some ten times saltier than sea water, and rich in chloride salts of magnesium, sodium, potassium, bromine and several others. Then, you will drive to Amman Hotel & overnight.
Day 6: After breakfast, transfer to Queen Alia International Airport for departure.
